Bug Description
I closed the lid of my laptop, then opened it and launched a browser by clicking it's icon on the left panel. After that all the panels in Gnome got stuck - clicking on the left or top panels gives nothing. I still can access the global menu via the Win key, also hot corners work. But the panels are not only frozen - they seem to be ignored by the window manager, because when I open some app, it is placed under a panel just like the panel did not exist at all.
These happened to me already twice.
I have:
Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS, kernel 5.8.0-48-generic
Gnome version 3.36.8, Windowing System X11
HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cw1007nv
affects: | gnome-panel (Ubuntu) → gnome-shell (Ubuntu) |
