Bug Description

Since https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1920997 is invalid this means it is not possible to have multiple versions of Mixxx 2.3 installed on a Windows system.

To me this is a bug because it prevents effective testing and comparison of different versions and copy files between them.

So I want to request this feature which used to exist in the previous exe installer.
Please restore it.

There is no technical reason that prevents two Mixxx versions side by side.

It should work to install Mixxx in the default location. Than copy the folder to another location and install the second version.

Both versions will use the same settings, wich may introduce some interferences. To avoid that my creating a desktop icon with the
--settingsPath PATH
Parameter to redirect one version to a new folder.

Manual moving the installed files away might confuse the Windows installers and may leave orphaned artifacts (registry entries, whatever). I would not recommend such hacks to normal users.

To make it more clear:

The new version I just installed is broken:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1920998.

Therefore I have no working version on my Windows system.
No DJ can afford a broken or fragile system like this!

So I want to emphasize again the importance of a portable version as I suggested earlier:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1897510

This could be a good solution for this serious problem.

I think this issue deserves attention from someone who knows more about Windows packaging. The easier we make it for users to test, the more will contribute.
