I'm sorry, but I reinstalled Xubuntu to get rid of the problem. In Ubuntu I
crashed so frequently Firefox was almost unusable.

Same problem here on multiple computers, from Gutsy to Hardy (both in Firefox 2 and 3). Firefox very often crashes on pages with Adobe flash movies (YouTube, etc.). It's common enough that I have made a "kill firefox" shortcut on my desktop, which I use constantly. I'm pretty sure the Adobe non-free flash player is somehow crashing firefox. I can try to find an .flv file to attach, but it may suffice to say that all .flv files seem capable of crashing firefox and do so unpredictably.

This also looks like a duplicate of bug 213948 . There seem to be a lot of them.

This also happens in epiphany, so it might be a xulrunner-1.9 bug ?

As steps to reproduce in other bugs, I just put a URL that crashes firefox/epiphany every time. http://www.bwin.com seems to crash every time, since it's all flash. Just a matter of clicking or minimizing the browser window.

bug 196248 also seems to be a duplicate. Maybe merge all of them together ?

most likely a flash/pulseaudio issue ... those are known and will hopefully be fixed soon.
