Bug Description

Previously on 20.04 stylus input with Wacom integrated display (not a pad or separate device) worked great.

Currently on 20.10 any stylus input including near hover without physically touching will instantly freeze/lockup the OS forcing hard reboot/power off/on to recover.

Kernel might (?) be confusing touch input with stylus input in the same moment as described here (???): https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-hardware-18/touching-wacom-tablet-crashes-linux-4175571470/.

Device is HP Envy Note 8 using official HP Stylus, Ubuntu Mate 20.10.

Only individual packages should have such bug reports. Marking as invalid for Ubuntu MATE, should be removed.

I installed libwacom-dev but result did not change.

I upgraded to kernel 5.11.8-051108-lowlatency and now the stylus works normally: pressure, and both in-line buttons.

Too good to be true; kernel 5.11 is really unstable, crashes often, reboots randomly atm.
