Bug Description

Kubuntu has a serious problem with floppy drives: It can not mount automatically floppy drives.
This is a Kubuntu bug because in other KDE distributions the problem not exists.

I have tried to put an icon in the desktop:
- In Kubuntu 7.04 KDE can mount the floppy drive with this icon, but when I go to insert a new disc Kubuntu does not refresh the contents of the drive.
- In Kubuntu 7.10 KDE do not show any icon when I enabled the option.

This is a critical bug and I think that Kubuntu has got it since ever.
I do not use floppys, but I have friends that I installed Kubuntu and they have the problem.
Only for this bug I can not delete Windows to some of my friends!

Is this issue still persistent in Hardy? I don't have any floppy drives around here to even test this one. Thanks
