Bug Description
System sound no longer working. Checked my hardware by loading TAILS on a USB stick. Sound works perfectly. So nothing wrong with my hardware. System 20.04.2LTS was working perfectly until latest automatic update. Noticed that in settings the sound screen has changed in layout. Tried various settings options but unable to recover sound.
settings= output device = Line Out Built-in Audio
configuration = Analogue Surround 5.1 Output
Used to have 7.1 but this now gone.
system pretty unusable without any sound.

Please try booting an older v5.4 kernel if you still have it. You can get to the boot menu by tapping Esc just before Ubuntu starts.
