Bug Description

Freezes after submitting the login password. If I shutdown the system it usually works afterwards on the first boot, but not subsequent reboots.

Thanks for the bug report.

1. Next time the freeze happens and then doesn't (failed login, reboot, successful login), please run this command:

  journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt

and attach the resulting text file here.

2. Please check for any crash reports using these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Responses#Missing_a_crash_report_or_having_a_.crash_attachment

3. Try logging into 'Ubuntu on Wayland' by clicking the button in the bottom right corner of the screen before you enter your password. Does that avoid the problem?

There doesn't seem to be much information in that log. It doesn't even suggest there was a login screen. So we will need more information.

Please repeat step 1 and remember to do steps 2 and 3...
