Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

The latest update to hardy removed all traces of firefox 2.x.
This is unfortunate as the web developer toolbar extension still does not support firefox 3.x

Could we please have it back?

Thanks for reporting. If you need FF2, you can install it separately. Hardy is in development and isn't meant for day to day usage, FF3 needs testing and we're at feature freeze.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Firefox 2 is not even available as an option in Synaptics and therefore not obvious to users.

I feel that using firefox 3 as the default is a good choice, but just like ff3 was (is) an option in Gutsy, ff2 could (should) be an option in Hardy - just for the people who need it.

Or am I just being dense?

I find that the only way of testing a new release is to use it in daily use - otherwise how can you find the bugs/annoyances?
