Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.
The .pptx, and presumably the rest of the OOXML extensions, are not associated with OpenOffice.org. I know support is sketchy, but it seems that the association should be present if OpenOffice.org Impress is installed.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Obtain a pptx presentation.
2.) Double-click it (opens in archive manager).
3.) Open Impress.
4.) Open the file using File > Open (proof that it works)

BTW, I'm on Gutsy amd64.
I've tracked down the file that needs changed (/usr/lib/ mime/packages/ openoffice. org-impress) and am making sure that it works now.
