Bug Description
Binary package hint: grub
Well, after a look at Bug #21412 and Bug #21175, I am a little disappointed by the fact that with Ubuntu and grub, I can't put Windows second in my grub menu without loosing the changes after a kernel update.
So consider this an official request. Thanks. I can request this upstream too if necessary.

update-grub is not upstream code, please do not submit this bug upstream.
Some options for workarounds:
- put Windows first in the grub menu before the "AUTOMAGIC KERNELS LIST" block, and set 'default 1' so that grub boots the second option by default img.conf so that menu.lst can be managed entirely by hand.
- configure grub to boot via the vmlinuz and vmlinuz.old symlinks, and disable update-grub in /etc/kernel-
