Due to the very large number of fonts installed by default on the vast majority of Linux distros (the main culprit being https:/
My efforts of advocating for reducing the number of fonts installed by default have fallen on deaf ears so far ([1], [2], [3]), so the only practical option seems to suggest that Pinta implement a font selector with filtering, akin to the one in LibreOffice.

I think this is covered by 1311873 - in the GTK3 branch we're using the standard GTK font selector now.
