[hardy] windows are still too large

Bug Description
the issue of how wide a window should be had been discussed widely. i see some progress (i.e. it is not as bad in hardy as in gutsy), but still a few pixels too wide for me.
my screen size is 768 by 1024 (i run in portrait mode) and evolution seems to start with about a 780 pixel (800?) pixel wide window. it should take the size from the screen size (minus panels).
improvement, but not yet perfect!
