1. Verify SecureBoot is disabled in BIOS/EFI

Thanks for the bug report.

If appears the Nvidia driver is having trouble detecting your Nvidia GPU. It also appears you have installed a version of the Nvidia driver that is:

 (a) Not supported by Ubuntu; and
 (b) The only version supporting your GPU according to the Nvidia website.

I am not sure what to do in this case. I suggest starting by uninstalling the driver you have manually installed and then use the 'Additional Drivers' app to search for a supported driver.
