No verification message prior to transferring holdings/items

In previous versions of Evergreen, while transferring holdings a click through verification dialog box would display so that catalogers could cancel the transfer if an incorrect destination was marked. The box contained the destination record and call number and the ability to cancel the transfer or proceed. The dialog box no longer appears and the transfer occurs without the verification step. Its return would be helpful so that catalogers can confirm the transfer before it occurs.

There is definitely not verification dialog box displayed when transferring holdings.

However, I have tested I tested the transfer behavior in multiple versions (3.3.2, 3.5.1 and the current bug squash test server) and in none of these versions did the dialog box appear when transferring holdings.

Still, I think the transfer of holdings is not very intuitive and can be a bit confusing. I agree, that displaying a dialog box would be very helpful.

I agree Elaine. I think that maybe the last time I saw the dialog boxes was in XUL. When I have to move records now it feels like the Wild, Wild West and I hope I have the right thing going to the proper place. The Mark and Transfer are not as exact to me as they used to be, and I have accidentally transferred a call number when I wanted to transfer an item, and had to move items back to the original record. If accidentally moving everything then deleted the bib, that would be a whole other mess to fix, although I think there might at least be a warning dialog that was going to happen.

They are PINES specific but you might find them useful. I did a lot of testing as I wrote them since it seems a little persnickety to me.
