syslog filled with over 200GB of logs in a matter of hours - suspect related to gsconnect

Bug Description

after software update, i got notification on disk full.
investigating it, i found that the var/log/syslog got to around 250GB.
I deleted the log file, and a couple of hours later it again reached this size.
The log contains a lot of:

Jan 26 19:57:39 stitch-xps-15-9560 gjs[2380]: Attempting to run a JS callback during garbage collection. This is most likely caused by destroying a Clutter actor or GTK widget with ::destroy signal connected, or using the destroy(), dispose(), or remove() vfuncs. Because it would crash the application, it has been blocked.

Considering the version of gsconnect in the archive for focal does not actually work with gnome-shell in focal (it's too old), this doesn't apply here. Closing as invalid.
