Firefox incredibly unstable since upgrade

Since upgrading firefox via the ubuntu update tool to the latest patch, firefox
has become really unstable. downloads sometimes crash it. opening history
sometimes crashes it. installing extensions crashes it. It simply crashes all
the time. I can't really give reproducable errors, as it's fairly erratic.

Try installing an extension, several of them and see what happens.

The fact that this is random suggests that there is a root problem here, causing
segfaults. I also found that it would segfault on startup after one and I had
to remove my .mozilla dir. I can upload an archive of that old mozilla dir if
you wish to test.
