Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

When you are sent a file through Pidgin and the transfer is complete, you get a notification message in the conversation window. Then you track down the file in nautilus in order to open it.

This would be much easier if the message included a link to the actual file, that launched it when clicked. Something like the attached mockup.

Hi, this sounds like a good idea to me. This doesn't seem to be fixed yet, so i forwarded this upstream.

This was fixed in version 2.6.0. Karmic released with version 2.6.2, so I am marking this Fix Released. Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better. Please report any other bugs you may find.
