Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

Ubuntu - 7.10
Pidgin - 1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4.1

I have been using Pidgin for chatting with friends using Google Talk. While text chat works fine, changing the buddy icon does not.

I tried changing it both on the global location at the bottom right and by editing the individual account. Still my icon does not change at the other end.

I'm having to change the icon from GMail for the changes to be reflected in other places. Changing icons from Kopete used to work.

I can't reproduce this on 2.4.3 on Hardy. When I define an icon by clicking on the bottom right of the window it is updated on both GMail and MSN.
