Bug Description

The dock is Type 40AN .

I already reported a bug, and was asked to run ubuntu-bug xorg, which I did and arrived here.
Probably you want to merge them. Please also mind the tons of reports from other users, which report the same or similar issues in the Ubuntu Forum, in the thread which I did open. Please see the other bug for a link.

In the current configuration I did downgrade the dock to an older firmware version as mentioned in my other bug ticket, and also by many other users in the Ubuntu Forum, since this is the only way it works at least partially, so that I'm able to submit this bug report.

The symptom right now is that I bootet with two 4 K Monitors connected, and could see at least for a while (at time of login screen) the magenta background, but then, after logging in, the 2 external Monitors get black and say something similar to 'Input Signal not Found'.
Opposed to this, when I open within Gnome the Settings > Displays ( or similar, I have it in German), then it tells me there that I have 2 external Monitors connected, which I can move around in that dialog, choose primary dialog etc.

On the console, where I run ubuntu-bug, I get this messages (repeatedly):

Errors:
Program binary could not be loaded. Binary is not compatible with current driver/hardware combination. Driver build date Oct 22 2020. Please check build information of source that generated the binary.

The AN40 with latest firmware does not give any picture at all on my Asus ROG flow 13 and a bunch of other devices. USB works, no screen device, HDMI or DP.
