wifi no longer recognized

Within the last couple of hours there was a batch of system updates presented to me by Discover in KDE. I installed them and restarted like it said to. Upon restart, there is no wifi. If I do `nmcli dev`, I no longer see my wifi device listed at all. It used to be listed as "wlp2s0".

Rebooting, or shutting down and restarting cold, didn't help.

This is on Ubuntu 20.04, kernel version 5.8.0-36-generic (according to "System Information" in KDE's "System Settings").
