The package is in Ubuntu universe since Xenial and it's available on all the architectures (arch: all). The package is currently a sync from Debian.

Upstream ships a pytest-based test suite which is run when building the Ubuntu package. The package also comes with an autopkgtest which tests certbot using pebble, a self-hosted version of the ACME server certbot uses to get the certificates. The autopkgtest pass reliably in both
Debian [1] and Ubuntu [2]

The package has a single debconf question which is asked at postrm time when purging the package. The questions regards the removal of unexpired certificates and it asked with high priority only if such certificates exist.

There are no long-term outstanding bugs neither in Ubuntu nor in Debian.

The package is maintained well maintained in Debian by an active team.
The package is widely used and its popularity is growing.

The package does not deal with specific hardware.
The package does not rely on obsolete or about to be demoted packages.
There are no lintian errors or warnings.
