Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Are you sure you're not logged in multiple times? eg. via a text terminal (ctrl+alt+f4 for example)

(I'm not sure if this should be filed against gnome-shell, gnome-session or gdm3; I've selected gnome-session for now)

Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 1909616

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

affects: ubuntu → gnome-session (Ubuntu)

I personally haven't logged multiple times. Also this is reproducible immediately after login. Is there a way to check if some program is doing this?

Also I think its worth mentioning that I changed my password (in attempt to prevent this) and it continued to do it.
