Bug Description

I'm using the amazing Ubuntu-20.04 Focal WSL distro with enabled systemd to run Kube and Podman on my laptop without installing 3rd party software. Unfortunately, The support of Ubuntu 20.04 by these projects is close to the end and I can't upgrade to the newer releases that solve some critical issues that I'm experiencing. To upgrade to the maintained Microk8s and Podman 3 I need Ubuntu 20.10.
Please, provide a new 20.10 Ubuntu WSL distro or instruction on how to update 20.04 to 20.10
The WSL2 kernel on my machine is already upgraded to Linux MSI 5.4.72-microsoft-standard-WSL2 x86_64.

To update 20.04 to 20.10:

$ sudo apt install update-manager-core

$ sudo nano /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades

Change the value of "Prompt=" from "LTS" to "normal", save, and exit.

Then run:

$ do-release-upgrade

We also make sideloadable rootfs images available on cloud-images.ubuntu.com.

The groovy image is at https://cloud-images.ubuntu.com/groovy/current/groovy-server-cloudimg-amd64-wsl.rootfs.tar.gz

The process is at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WSL#Installing_Ubuntu_on_WSL_via_rootfs
