Bug Description

timidity is started at boot, apparently that is Standard Operating Procedure. I find that on my machine, by the time I log on, it is frequently (but not always) still running, and it is running at 100%.

Often, since I've discovered this, I will simply kill timidity, as I've discovered that I don't need it running constantly to do any of the work that I do.

I also use Jack, which I control with QJackCtl. I have found that often (!) I will start Jack with QJackCtl, and then if I stop Jack again (with QJackCtl), timidity cpu will go to negligible levels (however, the process is still there). When I start Jack again, timidity cpu will jump back up. I'm mostly providing this part of the report as it may help you debug it. Hopefully it doesn't muddy the waters too much.

So, basically, what I believe is happening, is that intermittently, timidity is not successfully stopping after its start-stop cycle during boot, and additionally, it is running at 100%
