I'm a bit surprised that this request requires a FF exception. It was requested way before FF. unfortunately, it wasn't processed fast enough, so it got updated by Romain before. Well, I understand that the request for the new version came 2 days after feature freeze, so I attached the changelogs as requested. Btw, we are talking here about a snapshot package which tracks the upstream development branch.

This new version finally fixes bug #68461, a feature users have waited for a long time now.

Both upstream (Romain) and I think that we should update the emacs-snapshot package.

Ack from me as well, setting to confirmed. Likewise, I think that a -snapshot package, which has a stable version in the archive as well should be subject to a general FFe, what do you think?

In this case I think so. Particularly since unlike in the past the
released emacs version is actually recent.

sync-source.py apparently doesn't like my attempt to pretend that this would be in Debian incoming. Reinhard, can you please just upload this package normally? That's significantly easier than hacking LP to accept these. http://people.ubuntu.com/~pitti/scripts/syncpackage should work just fine.

@Romain: just faile a bug against emacs-snapshot having a title like "general FFe for emacs-snapshot" and refer to this bug in the description. (and subscribe motu-release then).
