Bug Description

I have a laptop with i7-1165G7 and it suspend defaults to s2idle. It will drain 10% every hour.

When switching to Deep using mem_sleep_default=deep (grub), the battery does not drain anymore but everytime I wake up from suspend the laptop shuts down.

This is what my grub looks like

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i8042.reset i8042.nomux=1 intel_idle.max_cstate=1 mem_sleep_default=deep acpi_sleep=nonvs

I don't think Tiger Lake even support S3...

I'd start from removing all kernel parameter.

This is a good reference for debugging power consumption issue:

And since you have you own shop maybe it's better to ask for Intel's support?

I can see that Intel dropped support for S3 and replaced it with S0ix (s2idle). I remove all kernel paramets and the battery still drains a lot.
