Bug Description
Description is almost the same as https:/
Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS, all packages up to date
gnome-shell 3.28.4-
Sometimes gnome-shell freezes.
I can move the mouse pointer, but the rest of the UI is completely frozen and does not react to mouse clicks or keystrokes.
If I try to change login session with Ctrl-Alt-F1, I can login but the screen remains black.
I generally manage to "unfreeze" gnome-shell by switching to a virtual console and typing "killall -3 gnome-shell"
dmesg shows a page allocation failure in gnome-shell, cf attached file.
