Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org-kde
One of the nice features of OpenOffice.org is that it remembers the position of the user's cursor at last save, such that opening a document in Writer brings the user to the exact page they were working on at last save. This has worked on all versions of Writer for some time, including the Windows and Linux versions. However, under the version in Gutsy (and Feisty before it) this feature has not worked under KDE. It does work under Gnome as it always has, leading me to suspect a difference in the way openoffice.org-kde functions.
To see what I mean, try the following:
1) Log into Ubuntu (Gutsy or Feisty) under Gnome.
2) Open and edit a Writer document that is a few pages long. Save the doc when you are a couple pages into it (e.g., on page 3).
3) Close OOo.
4) Open OOo and re-open the document. It will open to page 3, right where you left off.
5) Now log in under KDE and open the doc. It will open to page 1. Rather Microsoft-Wordish. :-(
