Bug Description

The sound was working just fine. I didn't work with my laptop for about half an hour and I didn't change anything that I can think of. But suddenly, there were no sounds anymore.

Sound suddenly works again without doing anything.

I disabled unattended-upgrade since last time, so maybe it was not related up updates in the first place.

I have a vivobook m7400qe and have similar problem.
Audio never worked from speakers or headphones jack. Mic does work.

The solution at this link worked ONCE, then never again

So it should be a configuration related issue.

Any other solutions found over the web don't work.
