Bug Description
After installing routine updates including systemd version 237-3ubuntu10.43 this 32 bit Lubuntu 18.04 booted to a black screen with a blinking cursor.
I booted to recovery mode and removed the systemd update. This gave me a normal boot.

pretty sure this is a dup of bug 1902871 (which is itself a dup of older bug 1890394), but if you disagree feel free to un-dup.
