Wrong version ID displayed, in the login screen

Bug Description

After a dist-upgrade from 20.04 to 20.10, the login screen displays the new wallpaper "Groovy Gorilla", but the version ID (in the bottom left corner) is the old one.

However, the /etc/os-release est up-to-date :

I've got the same issue. Have been looking for an answer for the last couple of weeks and just stumbled onto this.
