Bug Description
I have bound Alt-H to maximize window horizontally, and Alt-V to maximize window vertically.
When using these keys to maximize and unmaximize a vertically maximized Gnome Terminal horizontally, the window width gets smaller everytime (from 0:30 onwarnds)
As you can see in the beginning of the screen capture, it does not happen when the Terminal is not vertically maximized.

With wayland, the behavior seems a bit more bizarre. Toggling vertical/horizontal maximize seems to return to its original size correctly.
However, once vertically maximized, it lost the original width after horizonally maximizing the terminal. (0:06 onwards). It losts its poisition too after unmaximizing.
