PS: without this plugin it works, but I don't hear music on this website. So, it crashes if I am using the vlc and there is background music.

Hi,
I'm realy happy to see, there is life on launchpad :)
I have experimented today, there is still the same bug. My system is the updatet-last-week Ubuntu 8.10, Firefox and VLC Lan plugin. On the website, if I cklick on the link in menu on the left side, firefox beginns to load it and crashes. By reload, if I try to load old session, it crashes still, I need to start a new one.

Okay...
I am unable to reproduce this. Not because it works, but because i'm unable to get the vlc plugin to respond at all...

Create a new user account on your computer, and make sure the vlc plugin is installed in that account. Visit the site and see if you can reproduce the bug. If you can, read on:

Run "firefox" in a maximized terminal and reproduce. Copy and paste the output into a text file and attach to your next comment.
Follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace - Generation, so we can get a backtrace. Remember to install debug symbols first. Attach the backtrace.

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, firefox is a little special when it comes to backtraces.

It needs to be started like this:
/usr/bin/firefox -g

and then continue with the guide.

We could also need a valgrind log and a strace, so please follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Strace.
