bcmwl has issues with every new kernel
i.e. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1896348

so this isn't specific to any kernel, it's a deeper issue in the package's build mechanism

I can also confirm that the bcmwl package will not install with a 5.10 kernel either.
