pidgin task does not get unactivated

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

When I receive a new message the pidgin task in the task manager starts to blink - but even after activating the pidgin app - it still blinks and will not stop. This behaviour exists at least since feisty.

Actually I found out that this can be enabled in a plugin - why isn't this enabled by default?

 * Is this reproducible?
 * If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
 * What desktop environemnt do you use?

 This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
