cdbootstrap will not install Ubuntu releases

If I use cdebootstrap (Ubuntu version) to install any version of Ubuntu, I get the following error:

sudo cdebootstrap --arch amd64 ubuntu/focal ubuntu-chroot http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
