Bug Description
Evergreen 3.2.10ish.
The Title of this bug may be a little redundant or confusing, but I wanted to emphasize how the two catalogs relate to each other. From now on...
- Public Catalog will refer the catalog patrons use, accessed outside the staff client completely.
- Staff Catalog will refer to the catalog staff use in the staff client. This is specifically the OPAC version that displays within an iframe in the web client. This is NOT the angular catalog.
We have found in CW MARS that broad searches done in the public catalog often return "0 results". For example, we have an academic library patron who searched their institution's catalog for "History". 0 results were returned. It appears that the broad search is actually timing out before it can be completed.
If we perform the same search in the staff catalog, the search runs and returns about 20,000 results.
For some reason, the public version of the "OPAC" is timing out more quickly than the staff version of the "OPAC".
We haven't been able to figure out a setting or any reason why the two catalogs, which are essentially the same, would be behaving differently.
