Grub 2 always fails to install and the installation stops abruptly.

No matter what device is chosen or whether Secure Boot and Fast Startup are disabled, grub 2 always fails to install when executing it. It says "fatal error". This happens on an HP Omen 15 (2020) with NVme SDD with Intel Optane.
