Bug Description

The app displays the following error message :-

"Canonical Livepatch has experienced an internal error. Please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Livepatch#CommonIssues for further information."

I tried googled the error and no solutions worked out for me, that's why I start this bug report.

Things I tried to solve this :-
1. sudo canonical-livepatch refresh
2. sudo canonical-livepatch disable
   and sudo canonical-livepatch enable [MY-TOKEN]
3. sudo snap remove canonical-livepatch
   and sudo snap install canonical-livepatch

Outputs of the given commands are attached as files below

This indicates that you may have had problems applying a patch:

Aug 29 01:54:31 Prajwal-OMEN canonical-livepatch[1141]: during refresh: cannot check: apply-failed
Aug 29 01:54:31 Prajwal-OMEN canonical-livepatch[1141]: during refresh: cannot apply patches: lock file "/var/snap/canonical-livepatch/common/locks/livepatch_Ubuntu_5_4_0_42_46_generic_70_70.3" already >

Try removing the lock file and refreshing again (`sudo canonical-livepatch refresh`). Note that this *might* result in a kernel crash if it is a patch issue, so you might want to close applications, save your work first, etc.

If your system does crash & reboot, or continues to show a livepatch error, please attach the contents of /var/log/syslog.

Thanks,
Casey

Hi @cmars,
Thank you for your suggestion. I was searching what lock file you were telling about and how to remove it, but now livepatch figured out something and is not showing any error.

Thanks again :)
