Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-guidance-powermanager

kde-guidance-powermanager in Kubuntu Hardy Alpha 4 on a Dell Latitude D510 reports incorrect number of batteries.
It shows that battery 1 and 3 are present while the laptop has ONLY ONE. Also during discharge only battery 1 is being discharged, but when charging both 1 and 3 charge at the same time.

Also when battery powered the CPU frequency is reported as 1600 MHz while the policy is Powersave.
May be it is not related, but until alpha 4 my kde-guidance-powermanager did not work at all (see bug #174574 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kde-guidance/+bug/174574).

See attached screenshots to get better idea.

Thanks for your report. This is know issue in HAL related to 2.6.24 kernel and is already fixed upstream, so fix should get into Ubuntu soon.
