no login sound

Bug Description

When booting up the 8.04 alpha 4 desktop CD (x86 or amd64)
there is no login sound (when the desktop appears).

Sound otherwise works fine. Including the logoff sound.

Noticed this on 2 systems (old desktop and new laptop), so I doubt it is hardware related.

Did you check if the login sound is activated in System > Preferences > Sound (gnome-sound-properties)?

It seems it is fixed with alpha 5.

The login sound is now played.
