- Martin, do we continue to build the -source package and keep it in universe?
- the init script should use the lsb functions.
- can the daemon be started using start-stop-daemon?

the package looks otherwise ok for inclusion in main

I don't mind keeping the -source package in universe if it helps to avoid a delta to Debian. If it's generally obsolete (as in "the driver is upstream in 2.6.24"), it should be dropped completely in both Debian and Ubuntu to reduce confusion and cruft.

Currently, we are using drbd8 8.0.7, but since we are using
kernel 2.6.24, we should upgrade it to 8.0.10.

From the 8.0.9 changelog:

...
 * Made it to compile on Linux-2.6.24.
 * Made drbddisk's exit codes more LSB compliant.
...

And 8.0.10 is a single change release (fix for race condition).

Debian unstable moved to 8.0.8. Should we wait for them or patch it our
selves? Or we should just merge it once 8.0.10 gets into Debian?

Actually for drbd we have the kernel stuff in linux-ubuntu-modules so I would be in favour of dropping the driver source so we dont confuse our users.

I will update it to 8.0.11 and we can resync with Debian once they get the same version.

Setting back to incomplete until it is updated to a newer version. While you are at it, please drop the -source package to reduce confusion.

Promoted. Please seed it somewhere or make it a dependency, so that it will stay in main.
