Elaine, for Alerts, are you referring to copy alert message or the new-style Manage Alerts button? If you're referring to the button, the action is available in the actions drop-down. Before I also add the button to the grid, I'd like to confirm it's needed in both places. Thanks.
Manage alerts doesn't need to be a column choice it it is in the actions menu, but a column that indicates whether there is an alert for the copy is needed. Otherwise, catalogers would have to check each copy to see if an alert was added.
This is an issue we have, and have always had with copy notes. We have to dig into the individual copy to see if a nonpublic note is attached. We would love to also have a column that would indicate if a note was present.
Same would be true I would imagine for those that use copy tags -- to have an indication in holdings view columns if there is a copy tag associated with that copy.
One of the things catalogers us holdings view for is to quickly verify of the correct attributes have been assigned to a copy. We need to have the ability to see every item attribute and associated information like alerts and notes in the grid
