I can't reproduce this problem. I have created 4000 x 4000 image and it saves in less then a second.

- What do you mean by big files?
- Does it picture get saved or not eventually?

I am using a 4982x6107px image with 7 layers. The ORA saved file is about 4.1MB.

When saving, after some change, I can see the file size growing from 0kB. In this process Pinta freeze or not. When it not freeze, it allowed me to keep drawing and, by hitting saving again, I can create a corrupted ORA file.

The process bar will act to inform the user that the software is doing an action and avoid this kind of problem.

In my test I could reproduce a long wait when saving to an ORA file in that scenario (probably took 20-30 seconds), so having a progress window would be good so that the application doesn't appear frozen
