Bug Description
In AWS, there are differences in the supported instance types when launching an Ubuntu 18.04 LTS instance versus an Ubuntu Pro 18.04.
Here are the instance types that are only supported with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS as of 2020-08-11:
c5a.12xlarge
c5a.16xlarge
c5a.24xlarge
c5a.2xlarge
c5a.4xlarge
c5a.8xlarge
c5a.large
c5a.xlarge
g4dn.metal
inf1.24xlarge
inf1.2xlarge
inf1.6xlarge
inf1.xlarge
m5ad.16xlarge
m5ad.8xlarge
r5ad.16xlarge
r5ad.8xlarge
x1e.32xlarge
This list has been generated manually from the us-east-1 region.
I would expect the same instance type support between an LTS version of Ubuntu and its Pro equivalent.

^ This is in relation to AWS Marketplace listings. Non AWS Marketplace Canonical published public/free AMIs will still launch on these instance types.
