Bug Description
The existing MoblinGconf implementation is broken on many levels, including:
* defaults should be handled by a gconf schema, not a gconf wrapper class
* the names of the gconf keys are mostly cryptic, random, or in some cases out-of-date with the current function of the configuration item
* most of the complexity of the class is actually implemented better in the underlying gconf implementation
* the implementation does not conform to the coding guidelines
This implementation must be replaced before M9
