[new-applet] Quodlibet Applet

New applet to control Quod Libet posted in the forums by widdma.

I haven't tested yet myself. If it's confirmed that it works, it should get added to awn-extras-testing.

Author still needs to provide copyright information.

To be clearer about the copyright issue:

The most code includes license and contact info at the top of the files except 'src/quodlibet/imageproducer.py' which does not include licensing info. No info is provided for the icons.

Also just realized that 'src/quodlibet/icons/top.png' is a png so the patch will not added it.

Judging from the name it looks like imageproducer.py was probably pulled from the lastfm applet. Which is also missing copyright info. I've opened a bug for that.

Yes 'src/quodlibet/imageproducer.py' and 'src/quodlibet/icons/top.png' are indeed from the lastfm applet. Although this file doesn't contain a license the main file (lastfmapplet.py) contains the comment "this code is free", so I wasn't sure if I should attach a license to.

If you could go with something a bit more formal that would be a good thing :-) I believe that most of the applet code is licensed under GPL2 (with the or better clause) with a few files under LGPL (originally derived from external LGPL licensed sources).

Regarding the above comment. This is assuming there are files in there that are not derived from lastfmapplet source. Any lastfm source we'll need to get the copyright changes from the author.

Once/if we get the copyright changes from the lastfm dev(s) we'll make a post in here so you can update the copyrights on quodlibet applet source.

the only files from lastfm applet are top.png and and a slightly modified imageproducer.py, all the other code I wrote myself and released under LGPL. The cd icon is derived from another work, Author and License are contained in the SVG's metadata.
Any way hopefully it all works, I've only tested it on my machine.

Thanks for the contribution. Once we get the proper copyright/license info for the lastfm devs I'll ping you in this bug. Basically what we like to see is some form of the standard boilerplate at the top of the source files.

I expect it's probably being tested by a few people already... and we'll try to get it into extras as soon as possible.

The license info is commited in lastfm applet, you can update your headers.
