only alphanumeric keys accessible in keyboard config

Bug Description
tuxracer 4.0 on winxp german keyboard:
scenario:
I would like to use non-alphanumeric keys for my personal keyboard config. Doesnt work.
example:
I'd like to use "," and "." for left and right movement and "-" for jump. My goal is to react fast and not have to go long distances on the keyboard when playing the game.
I have not used the game otherwise.

Confirming. It's just not implemented - the only keys accepted are:
- alphanumeric
- arrow keys
- keypad (0...9 . / * - + =)
Please check if they work on Win XP.
I am starting to work on this.
