Bug Description

I have tested this using 1.7+r1113-202007280014~ubuntu18.04.1:

Execute Help | Pinta WebSite and error is returned in browser with Firefox Advanced button:

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for pinta-project.com. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.github.com, github.com
Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

This is not a pure Pinta problem, but it is actually Pinta web site problem. It looks like SSL/TLS certificate was changed. Web administrator of Pinta web site should check the web site certificate.

We're in the middle of moving the Pinta website to be hosted on Github Pages - there are some issues with getting HTTPS enabled that we're looking into

I checked https://pinta-project.com in browser and it works fine, but https://www.pinta-project.com embed URL link in Pinta program still reports the same problem.

I have checked the SSL/TLS certificate and in "Subject Alt Names" attribute there is only pinta-project.com specified. It looks to me when Let's Encrypt certificate was created it was created for single domain. Please search the web how to create Let's Encrypt certificate for multiple domains.

I am marking this bug report down to Confirmed.
