firefox xforms plugin does not work

Binary package hint: firefox

the xforms plugin 0.8.0.3 (found at https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/824) does not work with the ubuntu version of firefox. it does install without errors, however it fails to work.

this is likely a compilation / configration error in the ubuntu version of firefox since downloading the corresponding official firefox version (2.0.0.11) (from http://www.mozilla-europe.org/de/products/firefox/) and running it with a new profile (./firefox -ProfileManager), installing the xforms plugin (including firefox restart) then quitting the official firefox, starting ubuntu's firefox with the newly created profile et violà the test cases work.

Sorry but Firefox-2 is getting near EOS and they wont be fixing anything but major issues security issues mainly. Please try to reproduce this with Firefox-3.0 if you can reproduce this bug please click on Help > Report a problem and file the bug that way. This does not mean that it wasn't already fixed.
